Blue Mountain Lakes
Kittatinny Mountains, Sussex County, NJ

Perhaps the most direct way is through Blairstown. From Route 94 in Blairstown, take County Route 602 west. When you reach the stop sign at the top of the hill, make a sharp right and then bear left, staying on Route 602. Continue up and over the Kittatinny Ridge and down into Millbrook Village. Turn right here and drive 1.5 miles north to the turnoff on the right for Blue Mountain Lakes. The parking area is 1.3 miles ahead on the left.

From the northeast end of the parking area, near the posted map and portable toilet, follow the road for only forty feet or so and then turn right on a footpath heading downhill. You'll soon cross other roads, but continue walking straight ahead. Keep to the right at the large clearing where the road climbs a little and then parallels the lake below it on the left.
