LOWER GLEN PICNIC AREA
Old Mine Road, Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, Hardwick Township, Warren County, NJ
US 80 west to Exit 1 and Old Mine Road north. 2.7 miles north of the signal light at the one lane part of Old Mine Road is the southern boundary of Worthington State Forest. 9.9 miles north of the signal light is the entrance to the Lower Glen Picnic Area.
Originating from Blue Mountain Lakes and Long Pond, Van Campen Brook flows through Millbrook Village, Watergate Picnic Area, and "The Glen" to pass into the Delaware River by Poxono Island.
"The Glen" is a ravine between the Upper Glen Parking Area and the Lower Glen Picnic Area.
The trail is a little rough.
Follow parallel to Van Campen Brook. The hiker will come to two falls. The Lower Falls are close to the Lower Glen picnic area. The hiker then comes to the noisy waters of the upper fall, crossing the brook at this point. The trail then comes very close to Old Mine Road on your left. Cross the road and walk back to your car.
