Schwartz Preserve

Pound Ridge, Westchester County, New York

The Schwartz Preserve is not open to the public because of its fragile ecosystem.

At the southeast intersection of Scofield Road and Cross Pond Road.

Saw Mill River Parkway to its end at the conjunction with US 684; at the same junction get off at Route 35; at the stop sign, turn right;  pass by Route 121 (for access to Ward Pound Ridge Reservation); just after passing Bouton Road/Mobil Gas Station on the left and JT Farm on the right, turn right onto Route 124/Spring Street (it may not be labeled at the junction of Route 35 and Route 124); turn left onto Cross Pond Road and very shortly right on Scofield Road.  The preserve is on the immediate left.

The east side of the preserve is adjacent to a small lake that is just northwest of Cross Pond/Kitchawan Lake.

In April 2004 The Nature Conservancy transferred the property to the Pound Ridge Land Trust.
