Wampum Hill Road, Weston, Fairfield County, Connecticut
Exit 42 off of the Merritt Parkway. Heading east on the Parkway, turn right onto Weston Road (Route 57); continue north to its junction with Newtown Turnpike (Route 53). Turn left, following Route 57 (now Georgetown Road.) Turn left onto Cannondale Road. Turn right onto Wampum Hill Road. Follow it to its end.
2002 -- the Aspetuck Land Trust received 4 acres in Weston from the estate of Elizabeth Luce Moore, the daughter of Henry Luce, founder of Time/Life.
2003 -- the Aspetuck Land Trust received 11 acres in Weston from the estate of Elizabeth Luce Moore.
Executive Director Bruce LePage said a trail would be constructed to connect the Luce Land to 36 acres of land owned by the town.
2003 (Feb.) -- the Aspetuck Land Trust, the Town of Weston and the Town of Wilton purchased 133 acres of land located in north west Weston and eastern Wilton that was planned for development. The land abuts the Trust's Honey Hill Preserve. The Land Trust will own 28 acres of land located in Wilton, Wilton will own 17 acres of land located in Wilton and the Town of Weston will own the 85 acres of land located in Weston.
