Whipporwill Road, Town of New Castle, Westchester County, NY

Just .7 of a mile south of Whipoorwill Park north.

You can make a figure 8 out of the trails/paths in this area. Travel southwest on the main path and keep going past a right turn by the small pond. The trail is in a valley with a small creek surrounded by lots of skunk cabbage. Pick up the red trail as you go south. Follow the red trail to a bend in the creek at which point the red trail turns around and head back along a mountain laurel/hemlock ridge and then takes you back down to the stream area. Cross over the red trail and over the creek via a small crossing. Head back to the parking lot.

Japanese barberry and multiflora rose are a big problem here in this area and the two are fighting each other for domination.
