Geology:

A precipice affords a view of Cheesecote Mountain and Limekiln, Catamount and Horse Stable Mountains. And old quarry is at the edge of the Palisades ahead.


History:

The land, including the Gurnee Quarry at the west end, was acquired by Rockland County via purchases and gifts, 1975-76.
