Directions:

From Garden State Parkway:

Take Route 280 East; get off at the Harrison exit; at the bottom of the ramp, make a left onto Harrison Avenue; drive about one mile and make a left onto Davis Avenue; drive approximately three-quarters of a mile (passing over the railroad tracks and under the overpass) into West Hudson Park. There is a small car parking lot next to the ball fields.

From NJ Turnpike:

Take Exit 15W. After the toll get off at the first exit (Kearny). Make a right off the exit and go approx 1 mile and make a right onto Davis Avenue. Go approx mile, over the railroad tracks and under the overpass into West Hudson Park. There is a small car parking lot next to the ball fields.

Or:

Take Exit 15W and after the toll booth bare to the right and follow signs for Kearny. Drive about 0.8 of a mile to come to Schuyler Avenue. Make a right turn onto Schuyler Avenue and proceed north for 0.3 of a mile. Turn left into the park via Woodland Drive.

The park was constructed about twenty years ago.

swimming pool (? I didn't see one), lawns, tennis, playground, gazebos, benches, large sports field, basketball, lake with 3 fountains, park walks, and senior citizens building.

Trails:

12/18/04.  This is another Hudson County urban park without any natural area.  A road goes from east to west through the park and crossing on an overpass over the road that bisects the park east from west.  As far as urban parks the park is nice enough.  Dr. Patrick L. Cooney

Meadows Path is a planned pedestrian trail system that currently includes seven miles of trails, including the Valley Brook Avenue Greenway, a 1.5 mile pedestrian walkway. It is hoped the Meadows Path will be 25.5 miles long and go along the western bank of the Hackensack River from Losen Slote Creek Park to West Hudson Park.
