Clarence W. Brett Park
North Hackensack, Bergen County, New Jersey

Across the River from the Campbell-Christie House Restoration (east shore of the Hackensack River).

Brett Park, located directly over the new bridge on land originally owned by Lt. Col. Abraham Van Buskirk of the NJ Volunteers, will serve as the site for all massed formations and drills. Light and battalion troops will drill and maneuver both separately and in a joint manner, showing the public how an 18th century force took the filed. All such activities will be scheduled around the classes, allowing for maximum participation, and culminating in a grand review of all the troops.

7/22/2006.  My wife Rosemary and I toured the area.  We were a little surprised to see a sign for the Hackensack River Greenway here.  We walked the trail until it came out to the road and continued on the sidewalks.  The trail gets hard to see in some places, especially by the Department of Public Works.    Patrick L. Cooney.
