James Andrews Memorial Park
West Hanover Ave., Randolph Township, Morris County, NJ
(800) 852-7899

Directions:

US 80 west; US 287 south to the exit for Route 10 south; left turn onto Route 513 (Dover Chester Road); left turn onto Sussex Turnpike; parking just before the intersection with Washington Valley Road.

History:

Across the street from the small pull-off is a large rock with a small plaque in a clearing. The inscription says that the park is named in honor of the memory of James Andrews of Randolph Township. The land is a gift from Charles E. and Edna T. Brundage to Morris County.

Facilities and Activities:

Undeveloped.

Trails:

This area is certainly undeveloped. Across the street the land goes down a slope to a wet area with lots of highbush blueberry. The sun faces this side in the morning so there are a lot of wildflowers. The land on the other side also descends, but it is a much drier area with much fewer wildflowers.
