Lakeland County Park

Directions:

LIE to exit 58 south (Nichols Rd). Turn left at Johnson Ave.  Park entrance is one-half mile up the road, on the right.

Borders Connetquot River State Park on the northeast border.

Office/Restrooms open Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Lakeland park is also designed for the disabled.

The activities available at Lakeland include:

Picnic area with gazebo, boardwalks, shuffleboard, basketball courts and fishing.

This fully accessible facility, designed for disabled individuals, includes a nature trail-boardwalk over the head-waters of the Connetquot River, affording unique views of wetland vegetation, waterfowl and fish.  Organizational group use is available on a reservation basis.


Habitats:

There is the small Honeysuckle Pond and wetlands that are the headwater of the Connetquot River.


Trails:

Greenbelt Trail goes through the Park.
