Directions:

Take the Long Island Expressway to exit 41 north (NY 106/NY107/Jericho); drive north on Route 107 (which becomes Cedar Swamp Road) for 4.2 miles and turn left (west) onto Route 25A/Northern Boulevard; drive 1.1 miles and turn right (north) onto Valentine's Road; drive 0.8 of a mile; the sanctuary is on the right (east) side of the road.

History:

A former farm. A variety of plant life can be observed here.

Habitats:

pond, stream, a buttonwood/tupelo swamp

Open: Sunrise-sunset (call for permission).
