Habitats:

woods, floodplain of Beaver Dam Stream, fields, hemlock grove.

Trails:

5/07/99 I walked north and northwest on what I will called the Ridge Trail since it takes you on a ridge overlooking Beaver Dam Creek. Cross over a small stream. A trail goes off to the left here. Continue north. As I neared the northern end of the trail I tried to cross the creek but it was too swollen with spring rains. So turned back and took the trail that parallels the small stream. This trail goes to the creek and then goes south and southeast along the banks of the creek. We could call this the Flood Plain Trail. There were lots of wild leek and spring beauty here. You come out back on Beaver Dam Road. Turn left and walk uphill on the road back to the parking area. I did not walk in the southern part of the area across the street.

9/10/03 -- still could not cross that stream I tried to cross more than four years ago. Did walk a little bit of the southern part of the area. There is a hemlock grove area and some fields there providing different habitats than from the northern area. (If you keep walking straight north on the trail you come to highway US 684.)
